Avast 2015 product line includes Avast Free Anti-virus 2015, Avast Anti-virus Pro 2015, Avast Internet Security 2015 and Avast Premier Anti-virus 2015. All these products, although currently in beta, have been released for download, installation and testing.

The biggest feature of Avast 2015 is Avast NG which is a hardware based virtuatlization solution capable of running each process in its own standalone, virtualized environment. This means that the the process can be isolated from rest of the system while still communicating as normal. This technology will also power the Sandbox and Safe Zone components in the final version

The second new feature is the Grime Fighter which is a tool to clean junk files and system settings tuning and optimization.

 Secure DNS is another feature that I like. That means you will be using Avast’s DNS for name resolution and Avast can detect and block most of the malicious site even before they are opened on your computer. Unfortunately this feature is not available in Avast Free edition. The users of Avast Free can use Open DNS for better browsing experience.


Other changes in Avast 2015 include the following:
Home Network Security scans your home network for vulnerabilities like WiFi status, connected devices, and router settings.
HTTPS scanning is able to detect and decrypt TLS/SSL protected traffic in our Web-content filtering component. This feature will protect you against viruses coming through HTTPs traffic as well as adding compatibility for SPDY+HTTPS/ HTTP 2.0 traffic.
SecureDNS protects against DNS Hijack on router/client including unsecured networks, public ones, etc. This feature is active in the paid versions only.

Smart Scan integrates all on-demand scans into one scan with different results and recommendations. Includes Anti-virus, Browser plug-ins, Software updates, Home Network, and Grime Fighter.
